## Licensing Plugins
There are two licensing plugins used in the theme: **Visual Composer** and **Revolution Slider**, we purchased them from codecanyone.net and included them in the theme package. We are not allowed to include the license key for each of them. If there is any update, we are accountable for updating the theme with the newest version of plugins.
In fact, the license key will not help you anything even updating plugins to the newest version. Only direct buyers can do this. Because we provide those with the themes; therefore, we will take care of updating them for our customers. ## Files included in the package
When you purchase our theme from ThemeForest, you need to download the theme package from your themeforest account. Navigate to your downloads tab on ThemeForest and find felos. Click the download button to see the two options. The **All files & documentation** contain everything, the **Installable WordPress** Theme is just the installable WordPress theme file. Below is a full list of everything that is included when you download the main files, along with a brief description of each item.
- `felos.zip`: main theme file that need to be uploaded to host to install felos theme.
- `felos-child.zip`: basic child theme of felos theme. It is created for people who want to customize code of the felos theme.
- `Documentation`: documentation folder that contains documentation files.
- `Demo Data`: folder contains demo data files which are exported from the demo site.
- `demo-content.xml`: the XML file for importing demo content
- `HomePage-1 to HomePage-10`: folders contain demo data files such as widgets, sliders, customizer

Getting Started
===============
## Step 1 - Install theme
After you download the package from ThemeForest, please unzip it. You'll see a file called `felos.zip`, which is the main file needed to upload and install.
You can either choose to upload and installl the theme using **WordPress theme install** or use **FTP** function.
**Install theme using WordPress install function**
- Go to `Appearance > Themes` and click **Add New**
- Select **Upload**
- Click **Browse** and select the `felos.zip` file
- Click **Install Now**
- When upload and installation progresses are completed, click **Activate**, or go to `Appearance > Themes` and activate the **felos** theme
**Upload and install using FTP**
If you get any fail when install theme by Wordpress install function, we recommend to use FTP:
- Unzip the `felos.zip` file, you'll get a folder `felos`
- Use a FTP client like [FileZilla](http://filezilla-project.org/) and upload that folder to `wp-content/themes` folder on your host
- Go to `Appearance > Themes` and activate the **felos** theme
## Step 2 - Install plugins
After installing the felos theme, you'll see a notification in the top of the page that says the theme needs some plugins to function properly.
The felos theme **requires** following plugins:

- felos Visual Composer Addons: extra elements for Visual Composer. It was built for felos theme.
- [Kirki](https://wordpress.org/plugins/kirki/): The ultimate toolkit for theme developers using the WordPress Customizer.
- [Meta Box](https://wordpress.org/plugins/meta-box/): plugin for creating meta boxes for posts, pages,... It is free and available on WordPress.org
The felos theme **recommends** following plugins:
- [Revolution Slider](http://revolution.themepunch.com/): is an all-purpose slide displaying solution that allows for showing almost any kind of content with highly customizable, transitions, effects and custom animations. felos is working perfectly with these plugins. It automatically adds more styles to them to make the design match the theme.
To install these plugins:
- Click **Begin installing plugins**
- You'll be redirect to a page where all needed plugins are listed. Just click on **Install** below each plugin's name
- After installing, if it's required to activate the plugin, just activate
## Step 3 - Config Image Sizes
After finish installing this plugin, you need to change the size of product images for catalog.
- Go to `Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display`, under the Product Images section, you will find Catalog Images, Single Product Images, and Product Thumbnails.
- Catalog Image is for your images on the shop page and for shortcodes. Single Product Image is for your images on the single product pages. Product Thumbnail is for your smaller product thumbnails for widgets.
- Change the size of Catalog Image to 360 x 485, Single Product Image to 360 x 540, Product Thumbnail to 70 x 70.
## Step 4 - Import demo
From the version 1.0.0 of felos, we included "One Click Import Demo" into it. To have this importer, please make sure you have:
1. Installed and activated this plugin [Soo Demo Importer](http://felos.miraclestudio.design/plugin/soo-demo-importer.zip)
2. Go to `Appearance > Import Demo Data`
3. Click button **Install** to select the homepage you want to import.
The import process usually take few minutes to complete.

Theme Customizer
================
Theme option / Customize area is one of the main feature in our theme. They give you abilities to made a changes to your site without touching a single line of code. The Customizer gives you an ability to live preview changes on the site while options give you an ability to search through the options and do some specific task which will be explained later.
You can access the theme customizer by going to **Appearance > Customize**
In theme customizer, you will see sections which contain options for header, footer, blog, shop, layout, widget, menus,... We will go through them one by one in bellow sections.

Setup Header
============
Header is the most complex part of this theme. It contains topbar, header layout, logo and menu.

## Header
The theme includes 8 different Header layout and it is easy to switch your header layout .
Firstly, go to **Customize > Header > Header**. In order to help you setup your header easier, we group many options into one option for header layout and more other options for header style:
- Header layout: select the layout for your site header. There are 8 layouts with diffent elements, structure for each layout.
## Logo
- The theme includes options to upload and custom your logo such as: logo width, logo height and logo margin.
Simply go to **Appearance > Customize > Header > Logo** to upload your logo.
1. **Logo**: This logo is used for all header layout.
2. **logo type**: Customize logo format as image or svg in the homepage.
3. **Logo light**:Customize logo as light to adjust on the light background
4. **Logo dimension**: specify the width and height of your logo image. By default, you don't need to enter values for it. The logo will be display in nature dimension. But if you want the logo displays well on retina screens, you should prepare it in double dimension the enter these values as regular dimension. For example, your logo is 140x70, you should design it in 280x140. Then enter the value of width is 140px and height is 70px.
## Menus
Menus are the default part of any WordPress site. If you are new with WordPress, we recommend you take a look at this guide firstly - [WordPress Menu User Guide](https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide).
### Menu Locations
The theme included 3 menu locations: Primary Menu, Footer Menu and Mobile Menu.
Simply go to **Appearance->Menus**, you will see for *Display locations* at the bottom of the page.
- Primary Menu: This is the main menu in the header. This location is used for all header styles.
- Footer Menu: this is left menu in the footer.
- Mobile Menu: This is the main menu on mobile. This location is used for all header style.

Setup Page Header
=================
Page header is the big banner display after the header. In **Customize > Page Header**, you will see these options:
##Default Page Header##
You can disable page header for whole site such as: blog, archive, category, single post… Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Whole Site > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.
You can customize disabling page header for every page. Edit the page and go to Page Header Settings to disable page header for that page.
##Page Header On Portfolio
Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Portfolio > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.
##Page Header On Service
Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Service > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.
##Page Header On Blog
Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Blog > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.
##Page Header On Team
Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Blog > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.
##Page Header On Partner
Go to **Appearance > Customize > Page Header > On Partner > Enable Page Header** and enable/disable this option.

Setup Footer
=============
Footer is the most complex part of this theme. It contains footer extra, footer widget, footer newsletter and footer copyright.
Firstly, go to **Customize > Footer**. In order to help you setup your footer easier:
##Footer Layout##
- The theme includes options to upload and custom your background on footer.
Simply go to **Appearance > Customize > Footer > Footer Layout** to upload footer background.
##Footer Widget##
Go to **Apperance > Customize > Footer > Footer Widget** and enable/disable option.
- **Footer Widget Column**: Select number of columns on footer widget.
##Footer Newsletter##
Go to **Apperance > Customize > Footer > Footer Newsletter** and enable/disable option.
- **Newsletter Background**: Setup background image on footer newsletter.
- **Newsletter Subtitle**: Enter the newsletter subtitle.
- **Newsletter Title**: Enter the newsletter title.
- **Footer Newsletter Form**: Enter shortcode for mailchimp form to show it on footer newsletter.
##Footer Copyright##
Go to **Apperance > Customize > Footer > Footer Copyright** and enable/disaple option.
- **Footer Copyright Transparent**: enable to show footer copyright background transparent.
- **Footer Copyright Position**: select footer copyright position.
Setup WooComemrce & Shop
========================
felos is an ecomemrce WordPress theme and WooCommerce is the main plugin which provides all functionalities about selling products online. ## Control Shop Display
When you go to **Appearance > Customize > Shop**, you will see two sections there: Catalog and My Account.
The **Catalog** section contains options for products archive page, such as Shop, product category page, product tag pages.
- Product Columns: select the default columns for _Shop_ page.
- Product Per Page: select the default number of products to show on _Shop_ page.
The **My Account** section contains options for my account page.
- Background: select background image for my account page.

Post Format
===========
[Post Formats](http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Formats) is theme feature which is a piece of meta information that can be used by a theme to customize its presentation of a post.
In short, with a theme that supports Post Formats, a blogger can change how each post looks by choosing a Post Format from a radio-button list.
felos theme supports the following post formats:
- `gallery` - A gallery of images, which will be displayed in a responsive image slider, powered by Flexslider.
- `image` - A single image, which will be shown above post title.
- `video` - A single video, which can be any video from Youtube, Video or other video websites. Support URL or embed code. The video will be displayed above post title.
- `audio` - An audio file, which can be any video from Youtube, Video or other video websites. Support URL or embed code. The video will be displayed using a powerful HTML5 audio player provided by Wordpress as default player.
Using post format in felos lets you differentiate post from each other and make the blog page / single page looks more beautiful.
When you edit a post, select a format you want to apply to that post on the **Format** meta box on the right. When you choose a format, a corresponding meta box will appear **below** the content editor, here's the list of them.
All you need to do is just enter **all** information in the fields in these meta boxes. This information will be used to decorate the post. For example: gallery post format will uses uploaded images to show a slider above post title, a video post will display a video player above post title, etc.

Translation
===========
**Tell WordPress which language file to use.**
If you don’t use WordPress in your native language so far, you have to tell WordPress which language to use to activate the theme translation.
You can do this by editing the wp-config.php file (the file is located in the main directory of your WordPress files) and defining the WPLANG constant. You have to set your language code there, for example fr_FR for French translation.
ust add the line below to your wp-config.php or change it if it already exists:
`define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');`
## Using Plugin
The easiest way to translate your theme locally is by using the [Loco Translate](https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/) plugin. After you have installed and activated the plugin, simply go to `Loco Translate > Home` in the left-hand menu to start translating the theme from your WordPress backend.
## Using Poedit
Poedit is a common program which you can use to translate the theme. It’s available for free on [poedit.net](http://www.poedit.net/).
After you have installed Poedit, you can open it and select `File > New Catalog from POT file`. Then select the .pot file from the theme you wish to translate which you can find in the `/lang/` folder of theme.
Then go through every line of text and translate it to your native language. Afterwards you can save the catalog with your language code (for example `es_ES.po`). Normally Poedit automatically creates the .mo file and saves it, too.
The last step you have to do is to upload your created language files to the language folder of your theme using FTP.
